I just wonder because I've never hear such expression before.
Can somebody tell me?

Actually, in this case, while it is grammatically correct, it sounds a little off.
It would be much more natural to say "I'm looking for someone..." or "I'm trying to find someone..."
Btw, my SkypeID is tomatoberries. ^^

We Koreans have trouble with the word 'find', because we have its Korean counterpart '찾다', but the English 'find' seem to be used not the exact same way we use 찾다.
It is one of those usage disagreements, I guess.
However, when I googled 'I am finding', I found out that such a expression is used a lot, like 'I am finding who I am'.
What's up with that?

Now, I am finding how to use 'find' properly.
Am I getting it right?

It's because 찾다 means "to find", but it also means "to search (for)". "To find" is the successful result of "to search". If somebody finds who they are, then they must have looked for who they were until they found it.
People say "I am finding" instead of " I found" because they believe they have begun to discover it, but they don't consider that process complete, I guess.
