I may be of some help, illustrating some kind of story to teach the language or for the vocabulary part.

Can anyone recommend an interesting non-fiction comic book? I have heard that there are many comic books written on serious topics as a way to introduce them to Korean students. I'd like to check one out, because hopefully it would be easier to read than a full-length Korean book.

This is a a good suggestion! I read on several occasions that manhwa are (becoming) as popular as Japanese manga nowadays, but I never found manhwa series translated into English here in Europe. Do they exist? If so, where to find them? Are there any manhwa for children that are easy enough for relative beginners? I love reading comics in a foreign language: it is great fun, so hopefully we can expect a (culture) class about manhwa in 2009. :D

Haesin :) You're really good!!! Do you have any suggestions as to how your drawings could make their ways into lessons? :) Or any other ideas ? ^^

Jeff, yes, there are tons of great comic books out there. :) Which field are you interested in reading about? Science? History? For example? I'll look for a few. :)

http://www.dasepo.com/

Why can't I get through to that site? It says I'm under 19 (I think) and I can't get through to the content.
