I tried to explain something along the lines of "he said that she said..." in Korean, and the listener was completely lost.

How can I best express this? For example, "My mom said that you said you wanted to leave the party early?"

Or "Bob said that you said that I said I didn't like him, but that's not true."

I'd consider cheating and translating the first one like:
우리 엄마한테 네가 파티를 나가고 싶었다고 들었어.

The second one's pretty hard...
