I'm sure there is a way but it's escaping me. I want to be able to download the .pdfs without using iTunes. I switched to Media Monkey (Apple-free life is awesome btw) and have had no problem auto-downloading the newest podcast lessons but the .pdfs are MIA.
I don't mind using a separate RSS style downloader (i don't have to use Media Monkey to get the pdfs) if necessary.
