Ok, this is the sentence

사진구경 잘하고갑니다

What I understand... Is talking about taking good photos. Something like "I think you take good photos"... but not quite that. since 구경 means seeing, 사진구경 would be like "photo-watching" ?

and then I don't know the congugation used in
잘하고갑니다

when I first saw it I thought it somewhat looked familiar in relation to
" -ㄹ 것 가다 " that is, presumptive future. Maybe " 고갑니다 " is not future but still presumptive... something like "I think ..."

but that's just my guess, I might be totally wrong.

I didn't see any past infix so it didn't make lots of sense at first (picture watching + do well + leave)... I coulnd't see the connection, but thanks a lot for the explanation, it really makes it all clear now

No, there is no indication of past tense even though 'watching picture' was done by the time leaving.
Only 갑 니 다 , which works as present participle, indicates that it was done before the farewell handshake is exchanged.

We seem (?) not to use past tense in coordinate clauses before the 'end'고, 'habitually', even though the timing is different from the verb in the last sentence.
You can only guess the timing from the last verb.

Ex. 밥 잘 먹 (first clause) 고 (and) 잠 잤어요 (second and last clause; past tense) ?
영 화 보 고 (first clause) 식 사 하 고(second clause) 집 에 왔 어 요 (the last with past tense)

Different from the tense agreement in English.
We watched a movie, ate at a 식 당 and came back home.

oh ok... I got it, it makes lots of sense now... since 갑니다 is present, than the rest of the actions had to be past. And it would all be understood as "I enjoyed watching the pictures and I'm leaving now"

maybe the same phrase could also be expressed more formaly like
사진구경 잘했고 갈게요

that's including tenses, but perhaps in everyday speech the simpler version is used more

We don't say 사진구경 잘했고 갈게요, but can say, 사진구경 잘했고 or 했으니 이젠 갈께요, meaning I have finished watching, (maybe that was the reason to visit or an excuse to say farewell) and now it is time for me to leave or I have to say goodbye.
