No, not at all! I looked up the word for understand on the KC101 website(ihaehada, 아해하다) and tried to conjugate it. So the proper word is insaeohagessseubnida (인쇄하겠습니다)?
btw, 더는<Sylwestrzak> 메리수 입니다. 나씨는입니다? (and you are..?) Sorry if this is rude, I am very new at this!

ok, a new question--I am trying to type the vocabulary and I can't figure out how to do "wo" as in hoesawon--회사*?* The hagul looks to me like a combination of ㅇ+ㅜ+ㅓ+ㄴ, but typing D+N+J+S gets me 원....
I SWEAR it didn't work before!!!

So, anyway, can someone tell me the rest of the "codes" to do the dipthong vowels (the ones that don't have their own dedicated key on the keyboard)?

You are having a great time with the keyboard!
The two you are looking for are: 와 =ㅇ+ ㅗ +ㅏ
You want to type the top consonant then the vowel underneath then the one on the right, then the bottom consonant.
So wae would be 웨. ㅇ ㅜ ㅔ.
Hope that helps . If you pronounce the vowels in order quickly you will get the combined sound. oh + ah = wah.

That's what I thought, since it works for the other sounds...but when I try it, they still separate--오ㅓ, 오ㅔ 오ㅓ, 오ㅔ

Is there some trick I'm missing? I have tried typing fast, slow, in between, and it doesn't work! The other combos work at varying speeds, but these two don't seem to want to combine past 오.

If we can call ㅓ, ㅔ "LEFT VOWELS",

ㅏ, ㅐ would be "RIGHT VOWELS", right?


ㅗ can only combine with "RIGHT VOWELS" to become ㅘ, nd ㅙ

ㅜ can only combine with "LEFT VOWELS" to become ㅝ, ㅞ


There can be no ㅗ + ㅓ , it's always ㅜ + ㅓ

and there can be no ㅜ + ㅏ, it's always ㅗ + ㅏ

Excellent can be many words in Korean, but to name a few,

"멋져요!"

"좋아요!"

"굉장해요!"

I see that all of the phrases end in 요; is that similar to Japanese, where you would add "ne" or "yo" for emphasis to a statment?

"요" in Korean sounds simliar to the Japanese "よ” but actually it means "-です” or ”-ます”

Polite phrases end in 요 or 니다 in Korean

So, for example, if you say

먹었어.
It means "I ate"

and 갔어. means "I went"

but if you want to make them polite, you say

먹었어요 and 갔어요.

Hi guys

I want to write in korean too, but somehow It doesn't work the way I've tried so far

I installed the korean keyboard and the support on XP, but when switch over to the korean IME it won't change the signs.

Here's a pic to show that I've installed the files.



When I try to type in korean I just press the button right at the bottom.
It changes to korean keyboard but it has no effect when I'm typing

Any ideas? What am I doing wrong?
