How to view 5 latest forum posts in Hangul properly

Postby shanshanchua » May 19th, 2008 7:21 am

On the right hand side of the page, there's the 5 latest forum posts. I can't view titles written in Hangul properly, they are gibberish. But it's ok when I go into the forum itself. Does anyone else have this problem? That's the only place where I have problems viewing the Hangul. All other places are ok for me, even the 5 latest blog posts (titles in Hangul) right below it.

I have the exact same problem. I think it is an encoding issue (which deals with how your browser displays the non-English text). There are several different methods for setting encoding. I haven't bothered messing around with it since it displays fine when you get the the forum. I bet that the tech team can set the encoding for that section so it matches the rest of the 한글 encoding.

I've tried viewing that page using Unicode, Western and all kinds of Korean character encoding including auto-detect but nothing works. Strangely enough, the blog post sidebar works fine (Unicode).

I barely have any knowledge about these matters, but maybe it has something to do with the fonts specified in the css of the forums?

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. The Hangul should now properly display.

Wow, great job! I do think that the whole KC101 team is very responsive. Do keep up the good work! :D

It would be nice to put faces to the tech team members too.. I know there's a Jason, Eran, .....??? They do such a great job in the background but are often unacknowledged!

Please also include photos of the new members, 민경, 미현...
