I think an honest approach to this might take the giggling out of some foreigners when they talk or hear about these 목욕탕. I'm comfortable in them but then again, I had my mother-in-law school me in all things 목욕탕 because (obviously) she couldn't be there with me.

i especially like this topic because, in my limited experience, people are sharply divided between whether they like or dislike them. 찜질방 is like NASCAR in America - you either absolutely love it or you can't stand it. no in-betweeners.
