I think it played briefly in the theaters, but I don't remember much fanfare. Good thing it was one of the few Korean movies to actually make it onto the shelves of Hollywood Video (an American video store). I watched it twice - once without subtitles (bittorrent) and once with subtitles (rented).

i bought it at target of all places. it's one of my favorite movies right now - i'd like it even if it wasn't korean.

most of my friends won't watch it with me though, because they think the only reason i like it is because it's korean. hah..

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Korean entertainment and I've seen 'The Host' before. A very good movie and quite entertaining although I was a bit disappointed with the ending. The Classic '클래식' is really nice as well!

I saw it. It was pretty good. I haven't seen a lot of Korean movies yet, but I have only liked 3 out of the 12 or so I have seen. That doesn't make me an expert in Korean cinema at all. There are many more I know don't make it to the US.

I have seen it, I own that one on DVD, I recently have been seeing it more and more in stores. It was intense and kind of funny all at the same time.
