Do they speak English

I'll be traveling to Seoul next month to stay for 6 weeks. I know enough Korean to make light conversation and to survive (to do shopping and to communicate to people on a basic level), but I'm wondering what percentage of the people living there know English just incase I get stuck?

Will I be able to use English to communicate at some places (restaurants, clubs, stores) or will it all have to be in Korean mostly?

I have good news for you.

Most Korean people, especially the young, can carry on basic conversations in English.
Just make sure to speak slowly as they are not used to communicating with native English speakers.
