May I ask for the meanings and some examples for the two phrases please:

1) 생각을 들정도로
2) 생각을 들더라고

This question is really deep and good!:)

So both are the phrases to mean to remind me of to make me think of, right?

First one is, something was very something(good or bad) 'to think of'.

For example, 생각이 들 정도로

정말 멋있다는 생각이 들 정도로 잘 추더라고.
He was dancing so good for me to think of him as the great dancer.

Do you get what I mean?

Something is so good or so bad THAT affects your thoughts. Almost same as 'as much as'.

The second one is still similar but it is more like 'it was so something AND i thought as something.'
생각이 들더라고

그 춤을 추니까 정말 멋있다는 생각이 들더라고.

He was dancing so good and I thought of him as the great dancer.

I was also wondering how to used these in a sentence, as well as orbiter. I understand so much better now.

I knew 생각이 들다 - to have a thought, for a thought to arise

but after your explanation the grammar of the other phrases makes a lot more sense

생각이 - "the thoughts"
들다 - "have, hold"
정도 - "extent, degree" + (조사 particle e.g. post-position) ~로 - "in, by, through, to the"

so let me see if I have this clearly understood?:

Orbiter 씨는 한국사람이라고 생각이 들 정도로 한국어 실력이 대단하시더라고요 - Orbiter's Korean skill is so amazing I could almost think of him as being Korean. Lit: I know His Korean language skill is excellent to the extent of thinking Orbiter is Korean.

and the other:

생각이 - thought
들다 - "have, hold"
+ (어미 - word ending) ~더라 -found that, know that + (조사 - particle) ~고 - (in this case looks like quotation particle)

(결합해서 put together) ~더라고 = (pattern of recounting speaker's past experience) I found that, I remember that --in this case perhaps best translated as "made me"?

생각이 들더라고(요) - It made me think

한국말을 하니까 정말 한국사람이라고 생각이 들더라고요 - His Korean speaking really made me think of him as Korean.

How about it? Are my examples ok?
