텐데요... I think

Hi there,

Brand new to the site and the language. I've got a hang of hangul, days of the week, numbers etc and usually I know how to search for a word I don't know. But I was listening to a song and I think I'm at that stage where I'm not so good at hearing what the sounds are and getting them into the script.

The word I think I'm hearing is 텐데요 but I can't find it anywhere. It could also be 튼데요 or something else quite similar, I'm not used to hearing native speakers yet.

If 텐데요 is a word, can anyone tell me what it means? Thank you

basically means "should be like" or "should turn out like' what ever preceded it

it is true that Korean sound could be confusing, but 텐데요 is the right word and it sounds like 텐데요 as it is.

When people read it fast, it might sound like 튼데요, but please understand that the correct word is 텐데요.

As you pronounce and listen more and more of Korean, you will figure what goes well with what!

So no worries and keep working on it you will be good at it soon enough to feel great!
