also, why is it that i do not need to put any particle after korea? if i were to put a particle, should i use the suject, topic or location particle and why/why not?

기가 막히다 is a phrase meaning 'my ki(energe) has been stopped' and it means 'it was so beautiful, so my all energy just have stopped because of the surprise'

So, you don't have to translate it word by word. You can just remember that it means 'so beautiful'.

You also asked about the particle. In 한국은, 한국 is the noun for 'Korea', and 은 is the object-marking-particle. So, you've already use the particle in the sentence.

can the particle 도be used to emphasize anything at all? can you a 2 more examples where 도is can be used? what is the difference between 없고 and 없이

As you said, 난 is a short form for 나는. they have the same meaning. you can use both of them.

And.. particle '도' is used to emphasize the meaning, because it also means 'too, also'

In the below sentence,

- 나는 돈도 없고, 집도 없고. (I don't have money, and don't have a house)
You can find particle '도' to emphasize. You can just say '나는 집이 없고'. but if you use the particle '도', it will emphasize the meaning of your sadness.

And..

to find out the differences between 없고 and 없이,

please compare these two sentences.

나는 돈도 없고, 집도 없어. (I don't have money, and house)

나는 돈도 없이 집에 왔어. (I came back home without having money)

If you just say 없고, then, it just mean 'don't have something and..' because the particle '고' means 'and'.
If you say '없이', it means the condition; the condition that you don't have any money.
