냐 and 니 verb endings

I noticed the verb endings 니 and 냐, and I would like to know what are the nuances of these.
They're casual language, right? Are they both trendy or is it better to use one instead of the other?
If you also have a few examples where these endings are often used, let me know.

both 니 and 냐 are formal. 냐 is shorten version of 니+야, and they have same meaning.
However, for Koreans, 냐 is more likely manly and more tough. Usually boys are using this particle when they talk with other boys. Also for adults. But, they usually do not use the particle 냐, when they talk with women.
니 sounds more likely woman, only girls or city-guys (born and raised in city area) use the particle. : )

The both 니 & 냐 are extremely intimate ending.
You can never ever use them to the elders or someone who is not a close friend with you.
So, be careful to use.
