It's probably also possible to leave out the R sound altogether, so it becomes 조단 or Jo-dan. It's hard to represent those "wrap-around" R sounds in Korean! It does the same thing with Peter, or Peteo (피터).

Im going to go with 조단 on this one. I don't trust dictionaries on names. They do that to all J-names.... and there's nothing wrong with 조단.

But use whatever form you like!

yea I'm not sure why but a lot of names that start with "j" are simply changed to "y"... but then again, George Bush starts with ㅈ... what's up with that!

I think the dictionary is correct. 요르단 for Jordan is the commonly accepted translation and given that Jordan is a biblical name, that would be the most well-known Koreanization. But like Austin said, it is your name; you can write it however you want.

Stephanie... I would spell that as 스테프니 it sounds more like "step-peu-ni"
Natalie... 나텔리 it sounds almost the same ... "nah-tel-ri"

Most Koreans would say,

스테파니(stepani) and 나탈리(natahli)

I would agree with manyakumi. My daughter's name is Stephanie and we spell it 스테파니.

I'm sure I could figure out how to get korean fonts on this computar becuase I was able to get it on my laptop. But because I share this computar with my Appa (Yes! I used another korean word ^^) I don't want to mess around with it too much and plus, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't approve of me trying to learn Korean when I hardly know my own native tongue, Vietnamese ^^;

If only i had internet on my laptop.....
