My Korean is still very basic but I will give my meager understanding:

'it's okay but' - 'is all right but'

많이 만들면 되는데 다 팔 수 있어요?

It's ok if you make a lot of them but can you sell them all?
If you make a lot it's okay but can you sell them all?

in other context it seems to connotate:

'turning out like but/and' - 'becoming like but/and' - 'is this way but/and'

mom(엄마): you can play a game (but) have you finished your homework?
(게임해도 되긴 되는데... 숙제는 다 했어?)

되는데 is short for "되다 + 그런데(근데)"
하는데 : 하다 +그런데(근데)
