Yes, 끓다 means to boil. You can say '라면이 끓다.' to say 'Ramen boils'
Also, '끝나다' is for the situation when something ends, such as the class ends '수업이 끝나다.' In this sentence, the subject is 'class'. and there is no object.
'끝내다' is for the situation that someone ends something, such as 'Teacher ends (finishes) the class / 선생님이 수업을 끝내다. In this sentence, the subject is 'teacher' and the object is 'class.'
So, the answer to your question will be '수업이 끝났어요'.
Then, could you make sentence that means 'My mother finishes(ends) cooking'? : )
