I read this from the script of 하얀거탑, but I can't really understand it.

"아무래도 CT는 확인하시려는게 아니라 의심이 가셔서 떠보시는 거 같습니다."

Searching the Internet gave me the impression that such phrases are more used in sermons and Christian lingo... Can anyone pls help to explain the above sentence and also give some additional examples on how to use ~하시려 pls?

확인하다 to confirm, to make sure
시 : honorific suffix
-려다(short for -려고하다) : to try to

확인하 + 시 + 려(고하) + 는 + 게(것이) 아니라
= not to try to confirm but


내가 먹으려는게 아니다
I'm not trying to eat for myself.

선생님은 아버지를 만나시려는 생각에 오셨어요
The teacher came having a thought trying to meet my father.

할아버지는 그 일을 하시려다 돌아가셨다
Grandfather passed away trying to do the job.

It's a little bit tricky sentense.
And slightly wrong grammatically.
It should be..

아무래도 CT는, 확인하시려는게 아니라 (그냥) 의심이 가서 떠보시는 거 같습니다.
Maybe, about the CT result, he doesn't seem to confirm it but (just) to feel you out by having doubts.

아무래도 : 아무리 생각해도
