In this lesson, you'll practice how to describe something with good and bad qualities.
Let's look at the main dialogue.
Two people are having a conversation.
음... 이게 정말 빨라요.
Eum... Ige jeongmal ppallayo.
하지만 아주 가볍지는 않네요.
Hajiman aju gabyeopjineun anneyo.
이건 어때요? 아주 빠르지는 않지만 가벼워요.
Igeon eottaeyo? Aju ppareujineun anchiman gabyeowoyo.
빠르지는 means "not fast" as in "it's not fast."
빠르 is from the adjective 빠르다 (ppareuda), meaning "to be fast."
We also have 가벼워요 (gabyeowoyo). "It's light." That's the polite present tense of 가볍다, "to be light."
