Dana: The pattern for describing excess has 4 elements. First, the noun. In this case, it’s "street," plus the adverb particle… |
Jaehwi: 에 (e). |
Jaehwi: 거리에 (georie). |
Dana: Second, the noun “trash”. |
Jaehwi: 쓰레기 (sseuregi). |
Dana: Third, the adverb “too”. |
Jaehwi: 너무 (neomu). |
Dana: And last, the infinitive “a lot/much,” plus polite suffix… |
Jaehwi: 요 (yo). |
Jaehwi: 많아요. (mannayo). |
Dana: All together, we have "There is too much garbage on the street." |
