Jaehwi: Hi everyone. I am Jaehwi. Welcome back to Korean Weekly Words. Let’s see what we have for this – okay let’s see what we have. Clothing accessories yeay! In Korean, 액세서리 (aekseseori). |
The first word is 시계 (sigye) which means “watch.” With that word, you can say 저는 시계를 차는 것이 불편합니다. (Jeoneun sigyereul chaneun geosi bulpyeonhamnida.) which means “It’s uncomfortable for me to wear a watch.” So that’s why I don’t wear any watch because I don’t feel comfortable. It’s because I don’t feel comfortable. |
Okay next we have 안경 (angyeong) “glasses.” With that word, you can say 한국에서는 안경이 쌉니다. (Hangugeseoneun angyeongi ssamnida.) which means “It’s cheap to buy glasses in South Korea.” |
Okay next one is 벨트 (belteu) which means “belt.” I wear belts. With that word, you can say 저는 이 벨트를 3년간 이용하고 있습니다. (Jeoneun i belteureul samnyeongan iyonghago itsseumnida.) which means “I have been using this belt for 3 years.” because I like it, I like the color. It is light. |
Okay next we have 스카프 (seukapeu) which means “scarf.” I can say 우리 엄마는 스카프를 좋아합니다. (Uri eommaneun seukapeureul joahamnida.) which means “My mother likes scarves.” |
Okay next we have 장갑 (janggap) which means “glove.” With that word, you can say 한국의 겨울은 매우 추워서 장갑이 필요합니다. (Hangugui gyeoureun maeu chuwoseo janggabi piryohamnida.) which means “Winter in South Korea is very cold, so you need gloves.” |
Next you have end, okay that’s all for this week. I will see you next time. 다음 시간에 뵙겠습니다. (Daeum sigane boepgetsseumnida.) 안녕히 계세요. (Annyeonghi gyeseyo.) |
