Verb stem +๊ธฐ ์œ„ํ•ด์„œ is an expression used to indicate the intention, which is the goal for doing a certain thing.

์•ˆ๋…•ํ•˜์„ธ์š”

Does the syllable '๊ธฐ' make verbs into nouns?

Does '์œ„ํ•ด' mean in order to do something?

Hi William,

Thanks for posting. This is a question that is quite often asked on the website, as to the same mouth and tongue position, the N and D sounds seem to be confusing especially if spoken quickly. However, it is an 'n' sound so please try to remember it as such.

Hope this helped somewhat.

Best,

Lyn

Quick question about ๋ˆˆ์„ it sounds like she is saying a D sound at the start instead of an N sound. I am unsure as to why. Please help โค๏ธ๏ธ
