| Go-un: Yeah. I'm tired to death. Let's just take a taxi. |
| Seokjin: We're almost there. Let's go just a little bit further. |
| Go-un: No, I don't want to. Hurry up and go get me some water. I'm thirsty to death. |

| Hyunwoo: You know what, I think 고운 is too weak. |
| Gyeongeun: I think 석진 is not very gentlemanly. |
| Hyunwoo: They only walked for 30 minutes 30분 밖에 안 걸었잖아요. |
| Gyeongeun: But maybe 고운 was wearing high heels. |
| Hyunwoo: Oh maybe, I don’t know where they are going but 고운 keeps saying 힘들어 죽겠어, 목 말라 죽겠어. So she’s weak. |

| Hyunwoo: Well, honestly, I do, sometimes. It’s a very interesting way of exaggerating your state, so let's find out how to use that in the grammar section, but for now let's look at the vocabulary. |

| Hyunwoo: All right. Now let’s have a closer look at the usage for one of the words that came out in this lesson and the word we are going to look at is |
| Gyeongeun: 최소한 |
| Hyunwoo: At least, at minimum. |
| Gyeongeun: 최소한 [slowly - broken down by syllable] 최소한 [natural native speed] |
| Hyunwoo: Now this word is a Sino-Korean word meaning it uses Chinese characters as its base and we can break down the word to understand it better. |
| Gyeongeun: 네, 맞아요. 최 means the most, the greatest. |
| Hyunwoo: And 소 means small, little. |
| Gyeongeun: And 한 means limit, boundary. |
| Hyunwoo: So altogether it means at least or at minimum. |
| Gyeongeun: Yeah and if you want to say at most or at maximum, you can say 최대한. |
| Hyunwoo: Yeah so while 소 means small and little, 대 means big and large. So 최대한 means maximum. |
| Gyeongeun: Yeah and for 최소한, there is an easier native Korean word that you can use too. |
| Hyunwoo: And what is that? |
| Gyeongeun: You can say 적어도 and it means the same thing. |
| Hyunwoo: 적어도 It comes from 적다 to be little and it is the same thing as 최소한. All right. Now let’s look at today’s grammar point. |
| Gyeongeun: 네, 궁금해요. 빨리 봐요. |
| Hyunwoo: 네, 빨리 봐요. 빨리 알고 싶어 죽겠죠? |
| Gyeongeun: 네, 알고 싶어 죽겠어요. |

| Gyeongeun: The grammar point of this lesson is how to exaggerate a certain state by saying you are about to die because of it. |
| Hyunwoo: As in the example. |
| Gyeongeun: 배고파 죽겠어요. |
| Hyunwoo: I am hungry to death. |
| Gyeongeun: Yeah when you want to exaggerate a certain state, you can use the expression 죽겠다. |
| Hyunwoo: Yeah. 죽겠다 comes from 죽다 to die and with the suffix 겠, 죽겠다 means I think I will die or I suppose I will die. |
| Gyeongeun: Yeah. |
| Hyunwoo: Of course you won’t but… |
| Gyeongeun: No. This expression is used to exaggerate a state and not because one really thinks that he or she will die because of it. |
| Hyunwoo: Right. Korean people tend to use this structure 아/어/여 죽겠다 very often. Don’t you think? |
| Gyeongeun: Well I use it often too. |
| Hyunwoo: So it doesn’t always mean that you are serious or you are extremely tired right? |
| Gyeongeun: No it doesn’t. So it can be translated. It’s just so quiet or very… |
| Hyunwoo: Okay. So how do you form a sentence with this? |
| Gyeongeun: You take the verb stem and add 아/어/여 죽겠다. |
| Hyunwoo: Okay let’s look at how this was used in sentences in the dialogue for this lesson. |
| Gyeongeun: 힘들어 죽겠다. |
| Hyunwoo: I am tired to death. |
| Gyeongeun: 목 말라 죽겠어. |
| Hyunwoo: I am thirsty to death. Okay now before we finish, how about we look at three more sample sentences. I will give you the English, please give me the Korean. |
| Gyeongeun: Okay. |
| Hyunwoo: So how do you say I am hungry to death? |
| Gyeongeun: 배고파 죽겠어요. |
| Hyunwoo: And it also means I am just really hungry. |
| Gyeongeun: You are right. |
| Hyunwoo: You are not dying instantly. |
| Gyeongeun: No, no. |
| Hyunwoo: But you can say this to make your Korean sound more natural right? |
| Gyeongeun: Yeah, right. |
| Hyunwoo: 네, 좋아요. And how would you say I am so sleepy. I am sleepy to death? |
| Gyeongeun: 졸려 죽겠어요. |
| Hyunwoo: And I again don’t know anybody who died because he or she couldn’t sleep enough. And how do you say it is so funny? |
| Gyeongeun: 웃겨 죽겠어요. |
| Hyunwoo: 웃겨 죽겠어요. You can even say, it’s so funny that I am going to die. |
| Gyeongeun: Yeah. |
| Hyunwoo: 웃겨 죽겠어요. But it is very natural in Korean. Okay so that just about does it for today and before we go, we want to remind our listeners about our review track. |

I was wondering if there was going to be a game plan to get control of all the lessons here. I jumped here to the end of the beginner series(I'm still working through these) and was wondering if they are just going to go on and on? I mean I love updated and fresh content don't get me wrong but as someone trying to figure out how best to use kc101 with a absolute beginner's series, newbie series, beginner series could there be a set number of lessons that would for example be the beginner series and when, dare I say mastered, you know you would jump to the itermediate series?
In another 2 years is there going to be for example 10 seasons of beginner series and does that make sense? Audio blogs, video blogs and other resources would be nice to be updated all the time but to just endlessly add on to all the podcasts for each of the different series seems to be making things confusing and endless at least for me.
Again I'm not complaining!!!! I love what you guys are trying to do here it's just confusing for someone like myself that didn't start at kc101 from the beginning and wonder if instead of just adding lessons to each series endlessly is the right way to go.
