'we got wet'

Postby Taliana » December 12th, 2008 7:14 pm

How would you say "we got wet" (because of rain, falling in water, etc)? I thought maybe it was 우리가 젖어있어요 but I'm not too sure.

I wonder about: "우리가 물 먹었다"

One of my students said that after his cell phone got wet on one of those water rides at an amusement park.... at least that's what I THINK he said.... it's hard to remember!

I think you can say that just as

(We all got wet)

우리가 젖어 있어요 is also fine though,
it would be more natural on being used when it's the reason of your excuses.
For example,

Come here and sit down on the chair please.
I'm wet. (So your chair will be wet if I sit on)

And yes, Austin.
That's kinda slang of that expression.

My cellphone has broken by drowning.

But if you say that for people then its meaning would be changed a bit.

We've been screwed up.

I think that bastard cheated me.

Of course you were right, Taliana.
I'm thinking you are the one who can even teach Korean to others. Am I wrong?
