Lowering (and raising) the level of speech

Postby paekdusan » May 10th, 2010 3:21 am

I know two ways of asking someone to lower their level of speech. At least I think these are correct. I know they make sense, but I don't know if they sound like something a native Korean would say.

- 말씀 (좀) 놓으세요.
- 말씀 (좀) 낮추세요.

Do both of those sound natural?

Also, how would you ask/tell someone to raise their level of speech when talking to you? I'm not asking so that I can tell people to show me more respect, I'm asking so that I can be sarcastic with friends. ^.^

Thanks for your help.
