Last Name First

Postby taurin » March 31st, 2010 11:09 pm

I know in Korea that the last name is said first. Is this also the way a native English speaker should introduce themselves in Korean? Or, is it best to say your name the way it is traditionally said in your own country?

Such as "Hi, my name is John Smith" vs "Hi my name is Smith John"

Yes it is correct to say it just as you would in English. It might make for some confusion if you did it the other way around.

Or "안녕하십니까? 저는 줄리아입니다. 만나서 반갑습니다."
