Comics in Korean?

Postby maxiewawa » September 2nd, 2009 7:56 am

I've borrowed an issue of 안녕?! 자두야!! from the local library. Is there anywhere on the net I can find a translation?

Or can anyone help me with its English title?

I guess you tried google already.
sorry can't help you with that.

I have a manga by Clamp in both Japanese and Korean *lol*, maybe you should watch out for the more mainstream comics, like popular mangas and such?

What kind of genre do you prefer?
also I'm not uptodate with the manga movement anymore (was like 13 yrs ago haha).
But e.g. I have two girl's mangas in Korean which are originally Japanese mangas:

내가 사랑하는 사람 by Clamp
3500 Won (Wink Collection which has other Japanese mangas in Korean)
the Japanese title is watashi no sukina hito (I think) わたしのすきなひと
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_One_I_Love_%28manga%29

it's a bit old, you might not be able to find it in bookshops. the good thing about it is that it has short episodes or short stories.

The other one that I have is also from Wink Collection (3000 Won)
title 환상 게임 by Yuu Watase, original title Fushigi Yuugi ふしぎ 遊戯
(fantasy story)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fushigi_Y%C5%ABgi
http://ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/%ED%99%98% ... C%EC%9E%84

also a bit old, like a classic but watch out for Yuu Watase, she's popular and probably has new stuff out.

(I wish books and mangas were as cheap here in Germany ...)

Since CLAMP and Yuu Watase are very popluar you should find English versions (offline and online) easily.

But ask around or find out online what kind of mangas are new at the moment and popular. Those are just two I got at home (and girlish haha)

actually I never thought about looking for an English version online, thanks for the idea!
