Can anyone please refer me to a Korean101 class lesson or explain to me this grammar question:
I notice that some Korean verbs change a little depending on whether the speaker actively causes the action or whether an outside force causes the action. Example: If I open a door, I use the verb "yol-da". However, if the door opens automatically, I believe I use the verb form "yol-li-da", which adds an extra syllable. Only certain verbs this happens. Only with certain verbs does this happen, so I don't really fully understand this. Does anyone have an explanation of when to use this distinction and how to use this?
Thank you very much.
