파리 (Paris)
도착하다-to arrive
(verb)기 (time) 전 - (time) prior to (verb) happening
이었습니다 - past tense formal of 이다 to be

2)그래서 그날 밤 잠을 잘 못 자씁니다.

그래서 - so (meaning this happened as a result of the previous statement)
그날 밤 - that night
잠을 자다 - literally to sleep a sleep, but just means sleep
잘 못(verb) - to not be able to do (verb) very well
자씁니다-this looks like a typo and I'm guessing it's supposed to be 잤습니다, the past tense formal of 자다 to sleep

As a teacher, I'd hate to just give you the translation, but this should cover all of the parts you need to translate your sentences.
