I'm not sure if this grammar topic has been covered in any of the lessons but I can't seem to find it in the grammar bank. If anyone has any information about this grammar topic please pass it on.

감사합니다.

I don't claim to be an expert or anything (and certainly not Korean), but from what I've learnt, it's like "to try to do something [usually for the first time]". So for example:

한국어를 공부해 봤어 would be "I tried studying Korean." Or "제니의 손을 잡아 보겠어" would be "I will try to hold Jenny's hand." Or "종운에게는 내가 물었어" is "I tried to ask Jongwoon".

I hope that helps!
