한글 Spell check

Postby stevenwilson » June 24th, 2009 6:01 am

my spelling is atrocious. The only reason I can read Korean is because I can sound it out and recognize it. I realised that I couldn't even spelling 하고싶어요 off hand, without trying a few different spelling and seeing if google translator recognised the word.

This is definitely my fault for not spending time reading lesson notes closely enough to memorise any spelling. But a spell check would be awesome since I wouldn't have to go back to square one to learn proper spelling. I'm also not keen on letting others correct my spelling since 한글 is probably the easiest spelling system on the planet.

I couldn't easily find a 한글 spell checker on google and the English Microsoft word doesn't seem to have spell check function for Korean.

There's a Korean spell checker extension to Open Office available (http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... checker-ko), but I haven't tried it yet myself, so I don't know if it's any good. Worth a try perhaps?
