Roh Moo-Hyun died on 23 May 2009 after falling into a ravine while climbing a mountain. He received serious head wounds and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The South Korean news agency, Yonhap, is claiming a suicide note was left. The South Korean police later confirmed that Roh committed suicide by leaping off the cliff behind his house. [46]
