"hi the words 이디 and 이에요 i do not understand. i know they mean "to be" but even i dont understand what "to be " means. Please can anyone cearify what this means? i feel like a train that is stuck and cant move on to further learning."
"이디" is a typo of "이다" right?
"이다" is the basic written form of something is. From the basic form of "이다" you can say it a number of ways. "이야" is casual form, "이에요", "예요" are the polite forms, and 입니다 is the most polite spoken form and can also be used when writting.
the meaning of "이다" is "to be something, or something is something".
example
나는 스티븐 이다. litterally, "I steven am" so, I am steven.
"buugtdbgt 학생 이에요" litterally "buugtdbgt student is". buugtdbgt is a student.
