Hi Mo,

Thanks for posting. The difference is that one is a topic marking particle, and the other is an object marking particle.

We have a lesson series which will definitely be of help:

์•ˆ๋…•ํ•˜์„ธ์š”!

First of all I want to tell you guys that your lessons are so useful. Though, I am a little bit confuse when to use "์ด" and when to use "์€". I think these words are similar. Please let me know.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for posting. There are two meanings for ์žˆ๋‹ค:

1. to have

2. to be

So ๊ฐ–๊ณ  ์žˆ๋‹ค would literally mean (to be (while) holding something), or 'having something'.

Hope this was of help.

Best,

Lyn

hello

i had thought that 'to have' is ์žˆ์Šต๋‹ˆ๋‹ค. Why is there a need to use๊ฐ–๊ณ  in front of์žˆ์Šต๋‹ˆ๋‹ค ?

Thank you

Hi Kat,

Thanks for your comment!

Yes, you're right. [๋„ค] and [์˜ˆ] can be used interchangeably.

Hope it helped!

Best,

Rebecca

I have heard ๋„ค and ์˜ˆ for yes. Is one more correct than the other? Thank you!

Really? :open_mouth:

I didn't know that could happen.

Hi Nisha,

์•„๋‹ˆ์š”. ํ•ธ๋“œํฐ์„ ์—†์๋‹ˆ๋‹ค.

-> ์•„๋‹ˆ์š”. ํ•ธ๋“œํฐ ์—†์Šต๋‹ˆ๋‹ค.

Actually, ์—†์๋‹ˆ๋‹ค used to be the correct spelling until they changed it to ์—†์Šต๋‹ˆ๋‹ค in 1989.

์•„๋‹ˆ์š”. ํ•ธ๋“œํฐ์„ ์—†์๋‹ˆ๋‹ค. (No. I do not own a cell phone). Was that right?
