Becky: Asking how much. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to ask how much something costs in Korean.
Body
Becky: Here's the informal way to ask 'How much does this cost?' in Korean.
Kyejin: [Normal] 이거 얼마예요?(igeo eolmayeyo?)
Becky: First is a word meaning 'this'
Kyejin: [Normal] 이거 [Slow] 이거 (igeo)
Becky: Next is the word meaning 'how much'
Kyejin: [Normal] 얼마 [Slow] 얼마(eolma)
Becky: Last is the word meaning 'is, am, are'
Kyejin: [Normal] 예요 [Slow] 예요(yeyo)
Becky: Note the rising intonation. Listen again to the informal question meaning 'How much does this cost?'

Becky: Now, imagine you're speaking to a stranger. Here's the formal way to ask, 'How much does this cost?'
