I was wondering how to write the name "Baik, Sung-Kyun" in 한글 for a friend. This person only knows how to spell it in romanized English, not in Korean.
I am not a native speaker and would have guessed that it is spelled 백 성견, but then I saw on the internet that there is a school called "Sung Kyun University" that spells it 성균, so now I'm not sure.
Does anyone know if there is a standard way to write this particular name in Korean, and if so what is it? Or is it like "Kathy" and "Cathy" in English, where both are correct and only the individual person can say which is the right spelling?
Also, do you think that the surname is spelled correctly?
This is for a 도장, so I'd like to make sure that it's spelled correctly if at all possible. Thanks for any help you can give me!
