에 particle - question!!

Postby hendzeiada9636 » October 17th, 2013 9:25 pm

안녕하세요^^

I have a question about 에 particle, which describes something or someone place
I'm really confused with it , which one should i write first .. the element/something inside the thing or the opposite

here's an example:

친구가 미국에 있습니다 OR 미국에 친구가 있습니다 ??

which one is the right one?

감사합니다 :)

Hey Hendz!:)

I think you have actually got both right!haha nothing to fix!:D

-에 basically means "at" and similarly, -안에 would mean "inside".

And the grammatical wise, we always go for the subject first.

However in colloquial sense, you can switch as you did!;)

Does this make sense to you?:) feel free to follow up with us - we are always here to help!

Thank you
