Is that common?

hey all! quick question. How would I ask a friend if a new phrase I learned is common? If I was taught a new phrase in Korean and I wanted to elicit more from the tutor - maybe to check that the new phrase is indeed pretty common - how might I ask this?

I know that 현우 씨 posted a great video http://blogs.koreanclass101.com/blog/20 ... in-korean/ that contained some really helpful phrases, but alas, my question wasn't among the selected few.

- 그런 말을 많이 써요?
- 흔한 표현인가요?
- (한국사람들이) 자주 쓰는 표현이에요?

Yes Just like Chris wrote,

자주 쓰는 표현이에요? - Is it an expression that people use often?
자주 쓰이는 표현이에요? - Is it an expression that's used often?
평소에 많이 쓰는 말이에요? - Is it a phrase/word that you use often in everyday situations?

I would go with 평소에 많이 쓰는 말이에요?
