korean style dragons

does anyone here kno much about korean style dragons? if so if you have nice pictures or know a place to look at nice pics online let me know. i read a little bit about korean dragons on Wiki but having trouble finding good pics.

Hmm, I googled around some and found these. As I suspected, there's a similarity to Chinese dragons. Korea and China tend to hold similarities in their ancient culture styles, from what I've noticed so far. Since I like having many styles in my artwork, I've been studying Korean art lately. (Just a small shout out-안상수 is awesome! )

I know this doesn't seem much to go by, but I'm noticing that they combine a serpentine body like the Chinese, but give a thicker-styled legs. Sometimes you'll see wings, sometimes not. In the end, I guess it's also adding your artistic license. Or my artistic license. Personally I'd make at least 3 different styles for the heck of it. I love, love, love dragons.

Also, note the horns look like that of an antelope or deer. Sometimes they have whiskers like you'd see in Chinese dragons or in Cat fish. Other times it looks like they have a full beard (or whatever).

On a side note, it reminds me of the Chinese Kirin, the unicorns in their culture. You get a better idea of them from Guild Wars. Yes, I'm a gamer.. haha. But I admire the quality they put into the Kirin. They have scales similar to dragons, whiskers, and a horn similar to deer/antelope. Actually, the horns in both the dragon and kirin is probably more comparable to Elk.

And this ends my geek-mode while discussing artwork. I do a lot of research before creating whatever it is I'm going for, which could be either faeries or even dragons. Or Raistlin Majere. Anyway, if you need more help, let me know.
