This footage was taped inside a subway train in Seoul, going from the "NamYoung" station to the "Seoul Railway Station" station, and you can see that a KTX, Korea's fastest (express) train, passing by, slowing down as it arrives its final destination of Seoul, probably coming from Busan, the 2nd biggest city in Korea.

"이번 역은 서울역입니다." is what you heard.

i beon yeok eun Seoul yeok ipnida.
(= This station is Seoul station.)

Nice video! How long does the trip from 서울 to 부산 take on the KTX?
I notice the sign at the entrance/exit of the station that says "내려오는 곳" which, while I know what it means, a direct interpretation into English doesn't really work: coming down place. But I think it is telling those people getting off the train that "hey, people are coming down these stairs too so be careful." Or am I implying too much? I would think that it should say "올라가는 곳" but maybe it says that on the other end.

Thank, Steve. By KTX it takes 2hours and 50 minutes to go from Seoul to Busan. And the ticket price is around 45,000 won, which is around 45 US dollars.

I think you're right in guessing that 내려오는 곳 implies that 'people are coming down this way, so don't go up these stairs.' I'll go and check it for myself when I go to Seoul Station

yeok = station
eun = neun = topic particle
ipnida = is

이번 means 'this time' or 'this coming'

ex>
이번 주 = this week
이번 주말 = this weekend
이번에는 = this time,
이번 여름 = this summer

Wow. This is REALLY inexpensive!! It would be good for those who want to visit as many cities as possible in a short period of time. Too bad that it's only available for foreigners!! T.T
